Meyer, Twilight

I hated the Twilight books because they stole my wife away from me for hours at a time.  This also gave me the idea that it would be perfect fluff reading for after my masters program.

I was right.  I loved this book for the way it completely allowed for teenage girl love to overcome the strange new discovery of vampires in her neighborhood.  I loved this book for the way the vampires play a wonderfully creative game of baseball in the mountains.  I love this book for the self-indulgent plot twist at the end and its smooth resolution. I love this book because of Edward’s perplexing decision to suck the venom out Isabella, thus enabling the tension that should carry me quickly into the next book in the series.

Ahhh… the sweet rcovery of summer ficiton reading…

  1. I think I can honestly say that you are the last person I would have expected to write a post on your blog about why you enjoyed Twilight. Fluff reading is a pretty accurate description, but the story sure does draw you in.
